Airport: Knoxville (TYS)
Taxi: ~$30 from airport to downtown Knoxville
Parking: $6/day for overnight guests and $8/day for local meeting attendees.
Hotel: Crowne Plaza, downtown Knoxville: $83/night (2 double beds) or $93/night (1 king or 1 queen). There is 8% city room tax and 9.25% state room tax. There is complimentary Internet access in the guest rooms.
Reserve at http://www.crowneplaza.com/knoxville and use ICS (case sensitive) as the "Group Code". Or call 865-522-2600 and ask for reservations and refer to "TeraGrid". This rate will be honored until August 24, 2009 and based on availability after that date. There are 30 rooms set aside for September 23 and 24. There is a 24-hour 3,000 sq ft fitness center in the hotel.
Food: Hot breakfast buffet will be served at 7:30 AM and lunch buffet will be served at 11:30 on both days. We will have one break at 2:30 PM on the 24th. The food will be served in Salon A. There will be healthy dining choices available at each meal with "to-go" boxes available at Friday's lunch. There will also be vegan choices at every meal and break.
Meeting room information: We will meet in Salon B with tables arranged in a U-shape. A projector, screen, Internet access and speakerphone will be available. Coffee, tea, bottled water and soft drinks will be available all day along with water pitchers on the tables.

NICS Tour: If you would like to take a tour of NICS (to see Kraken!!) on September 24, please send your date of birth and citizenship to Lora Wolfe (wolfelm@ornl.gov) ASAP.
NICS Tour Logistics: A bus will pick up at 4 PM on September 24th at the Crowne Plaza, start the tour of the computer room and EVEREST (the visualization facilities), around 5 PM, and then return around 6 PM directly to the Regas restaurant for dinner at 7 PM.
Dinner: We will have dinner at the Regas restaurant (http://www.regassquare.com/) on the 24th. We have a room reserved for us. The restaurant is walking distance from the hotel.
