Ok so now the time has come to actually make ourselves feel like we are doing something. You guys have already done a tremendous job boxing in a very difficult problem, so much so that I think this will actually work. I am very fortunate to have the team of individuals I have to work with here.
I have thought a great deal this week about a way forward, and here is my plan:
We have two short term goals as I see it:
- Produce a short report on our requirements analysis.
- Come up with an implementation plan for the CUE.
As to goal 1., I would like to ask if there is one or more persons that would like to undertake the effort of assimilating the information down to a brief report level document, if not I will probably assign it to some people. I will assist with this task as well. The document should be no more than 2-5 pages, and neatly sum up the effort that we have been engaged in.
For goal 2.:
I have combed through our discussions, and spent a lot of time in deep meditation (which involves much Grand Theft Auto and Guitar Hero), and have made an attempt at organizing what I think the CUE should look like. I have boiled it down to 5 areas that we can work on. Attached is a diagram, that is completely up for discussion, with how I think it should be organized. Once we decide on this sort of structure, I would like to then start filling in personnel with the task of coming up with the following:
- set of implements for each of these.
- A timeline to implementation.
- A plan on implementation, including contacts with other working groups, and possible additional personnel needed for the task.
