Most TeraGrid information services content is public and accessible from anywhere on the internet.

This document explains how anyone with a web browser can view information services content thru the:

  • TeraGrid User Portal
  • TeraGrid Public website
  • TeraGrid Information Services website

and how developers can access information services content using:

  • TeraGrid provided query tools
  • User or develoloper created scripts or programs

TeraGrid User Portal

The TeraGrid User Portal is the only method available to access non-public information services content. Once a user has authenticated (s)he will be able to see the contents of TeraGrid:

  • compute resource batch queues
  • compute resource batch system load

TeraGrid User Documentation

The TeraGrid user documentation website offers users access to the following subsets of public information services content:

  • which Coordinated TeraGrid Software and Services "CTSS" are available on each TeraGrid resource, and information needed to access and use the software and services

Information Services Access Using WS/REST

TeraGrid provided query tools

TeraGrid clusters offering the Remote Login capability kit, and the Application Development and Runtime support kit, provide the wsrf-query Globus client tool. This tool can retrieve information services contents from the MDS4 services on each TeraGrid resources

Information Services Access Using WS/SOAP

User or developer created scripts or programs

To access information services TeraGrid users or the public can use TeraGrid provided tools or develop their own. This document will explain what TeraGrid developed tools are available and how to use them, and the interfaces available for accessing information for anyone writing their own access code.
