January 28-30, 2008 San Diego Supercomputer Center

There will be a one-day workshop on best practices in secure gateway design followed by a two-day summit meeting.

The intended audience for the summit is gateway developers, security staff at RP sites and others interested.

The goals of the summit are to develop an understanding of how community accounts are being used today, risks associated with these usage models and account restriction plans at TeraGrid resource provider sites. By the end of this meeting we would like to have a complete understanding of community accounts on TeraGrid. We should be able to create documentation for users so they know what they can expect through the full community account process, from initial request to functional accounts at requested sites. Community accounts are a lynch pin of the gateway approach to HPC resource access and a functional process is critical for the program.

Hotel reservations must be made by January 11, 2008 to get the group rate.

There will also be Access Grid available for this meeting, though face to face participation is strongly encouraged.
